More information:
The Clutch Survival Global Hazard Preparedness Atlas is a planning tool for travelers, outdoor recreationists, residents, and people considering a new place to live. Select a region and, where available, a more specific local area to generate a report covering historical hazards, seasonal conditions, infrastructure concerns, preparedness considerations, and other factors relevant to that location.
Temporary Travel considers your selected travel period and can include additional guidance for road trips and overlanding, backpacking, boating and rafting, bush piloting, urban travel, and guided tourism. Permanent Residence focuses on year-round hazards, infrastructure resilience, property and construction considerations, insurance questions, and long-term preparedness.
The accompanying map is provided for basic geographic orientation and is not intended for navigation, evacuation planning, property assessment, or determining official hazard boundaries. Conditions and risk can vary considerably within any region, particularly around coastlines, mountains, rivers, remote areas, and developed communities.
Historical events and seasonal hazard patterns provide context, not predictions. Conditions can change quickly, so current weather, fires, closures, emergency declarations, travel restrictions, and other developing events should be checked through Clutch Survival Live Watch and the appropriate official authorities before departure or when conditions change.
The Atlas is intended as a practical starting point for research and preparedness. Always verify important travel, property, safety, insurance, and emergency decisions using current information from the appropriate local, state, federal, or national authority.
